See Carlo's Bakery's Cake Celebrating Italy's Birthday

March 17 isn’t just a day for green beer and Jameson shots. It’s also Italy’s birthday. The Italian-themed Venetian and Palazzo celebrate the country’s 154th birthday today with a cake shaped like an Italian gondola ride from Cake Boss Buddy Valastro’s Carlo’s Bakery, an attraction that also happens to wind through the Grand Canal Shoppes. The cake also commemorates the first anniversary of Carlo’s Bakery, which opened last year on March 31.
