Meet the New Executive Chef at Culinary Dropout Mike Sutton

Culinary Dropout at the Hard Rock Hotel promoted chef Mike Sutton to executive chef. He joined the dropouts as a sous chef in August 2013.

Sutton started his career as a line cook at Shibuya at the MGM Grand nine years ago after graduating from the French Culinary Institute. After joining the Culinary Dropout team, Sutton moved up the leadership ranks. Management at the restaurant cite “his easy-going attitude and dedication to preparing quality recipes for diners made him an ideal candidate for the executive chef position.”

“I want my team to be excited to come in and do the best they can to step up, help each other out and build that teamwork and passion,” Sutton says in a press statement. “I plan on spending time with each individual to talk one-on-one to learn how I can help them accomplish their goals.”
