Krung Siam Thai Restaurant at 3755 Spring Mountain Road was shut down by the Southern Nevada Health District after a routine inspection on March 19.
SNHD gave the restaurant 42 demerits. Inspectors found the staff not properly washing their hands, food unprotected from potential contamination, ineffective pest control measures, the grade cards not properly displayed, no one in charge with management certification and so much more.
Krung Siam demerits
This is the first time Krung Siam was shut down by the SNHD since inspections started in 2010. The restaurant did earn C grades in 2011 and 2014.
The Southern Nevada Health District routinely shuts down restaurants that receive more than 40 demerits. Restaurants have the option of requesting a re-inspection before the next scheduled inspection.
