Jjanga Japanese Restaurant at 3650 S. Decatur Blvd. came within one point of shutdown by the Southern Nevada Health District after a routine inspection on March 24.
Violations included food unprotected from potential contamination, inaccurate thermometers, no hot and cold holding equipment, grade cards unposted and more.
The sushi bar racked up 39 demerits during the same inspection. Neither had proper hand washing facilities.
SNHD shut down the sushi bar in 2011.
The Southern Nevada Health District routinely shuts down restaurants that receive more than 40 demerits. Restaurants have the option of requesting a re-inspection before the next scheduled inspection.
