Dutch Bros. Coffee is bring their cult caffeine franchise to Las Vegas, taking over the shuttered Bentley’s Coffee drive-thru spot.

Created in Southern Oregon in 1992 by brothers Dane and Travis Boersma, they lay claim to the very specific title of "the country’s largest privately held, drive-thru coffee company," with 222 operating locations. Only current employees can apply for a franchise license, no outsiders.

From their Pacific Northwest base, in an unusual step for a burgeoning brand, Dutch Bros. chose Carson City for their first Nevada site back in 2009.

The company has also have successfully ventured into a secondary market of selling branded clothing, gifts and single serve pods of their "proprietary blend of Colombian, Brazilian and El Salvadoran beans."

Real estate brokers boasted an estimated 50,000 drivers daily pass by this building, located on the same block as tourist favorites The Gun Store and Casa Di Amore restaurant.

Dutch Bros. promises the store is coming soon and construction permits have been filed for remodeling the 1,380-square-foot space.
