Blaze Fast-Fire'd Pizza have yet to open their first location in Henderson, but are already expanding to North Las Vegas. Part of a current trend of build-your-own-pie, cooked in seconds pizza franchises, they join local pioneers Pieology, Project Pie and 800 Degrees Neapolitan Pizzeria.
Blaze Pizza will occupy 3,120-square-foot space at the Decatur 215 commercial center and join fellow fast food purveyors El Pollo Loco, Teriyaki Madness, Firehouse Subs and an also on the horizon Chipotle outpost.
Blaze starts each dish with an individual 11-inch, crisp crust pie, then offers guests unlimited toppings, all for one price. The pizza is then "fast-fire'd" at 800 degrees for 180 seconds.
The brand was created in 2011 by Elise and Rick Wetzel of Wetzel's Pretzels fame and the company received early investment money from high-profile names including LeBron James and Maria Shriver, whose son, Patrick Schwarzenegger, is a franchise owner. Expansion plans for Las Vegas have been described as "aggressive."
Their Henderson location is listed as "coming soon."
