Here's When You Can Gorge on Hot Dogs to Become an Eating Champion

Gird your stomach. Nathan’s Famous throws a qualifying event for the 100th annual Fourth of July Hot Dog Eating Contest on Saturday, April 25. That means should you win, you could head to Coney Island, N.Y., for a chance to be crowned the hot dog eating champion of the world.

But first things first. Head to the Brooklyn Bridge at New York-New York at 2 p.m. on April 25 for the main event. The male and female winners advance to Coney Island event this July.

A special employee contest will begin at noon followed by a “Heroes” competition for charity at 1:30 p.m. Want to watch people gorge themselves on hot dogs? Admission is free and the event is open to the public.
