A taste of the seaside and the state fair has debuted at the Bally's Grand Bazaar Shops. Jimmy's Seaside Fries is now serving fried Oreos, churros and funnel cake, plus corn dog bites and fried cod and shrimp. The big draw is their medley of signature french fry concoctions including poutine, the "Greek" featuring feta cheese and tzatziki sauce and the "Big Kahuna" with shredded pork, seaside sauce, chopped bacon and jalapeños.
Elsewhere at the 68,000-square-foot outdoor retail and dining center, work on the previously confirmed Nacho Daddy, SkinnyFats and Wahlburgers appears to have either stalled or dramatically slowed and the next big debut might be a Starbucks.
Recent rumors of an alcohol serving Starbucks on the horizon are given more credence by new permits for a 3,276-square-foot outpost to be built with an estimated $550,000 construction budget. By comparison, the average size of a venti Starbucks store is 1,500 square feet. No timetable or announcement regarding the project has been revealed.
Food and beverage still promised for the Grand Bazaar, but not looking to debut soon, includes Vegas Dogs, Shawarma, Lachmajun, Ramen-Ya, Island Time Floats, Sandwich Haven, San Marco Gelato and The Bronze Cafe.
The bazaar currently features many empty spaces and in less than two months from its debut has already lost two tenants, a cell phone case store and the two locations filled by Republic of Couture.
