The four-day food festival Vegas Uncork’d kicked off on Thursday afternoon with a passel of chefs converging on Julian Serrano’s Lago at the Bellagio for the saber off.
Serrano had the honors of sabering off the cork on a magnum of Mionetto Italian sparkling wine to go appropriately with his new restaurant. On hand, chefs including Mary Sue Milliken, Susan Feniger, Michael Mina, Guy Savoy, Shawn McClain, Christina Wilson, Francois Payard, Brian Malarkey, Ho Chee Boon and Emeril Lagasse.
Vegas Uncork’d takes over the Bellagio, Caesars Palace, Aria and MGM Grand through Sunday with 23 events and 10,000 fans.
