Head to Wolfgang Puck's Postrio Today Before It Shutters Tonight

If you want to dine at Postrio, Wolfgang Puck’s Mediterranean and Asian fusion restaurant sitting on the replica of St. Mark’s Square inside the Grand Canal Shoppes, you’d better head there today. After dinner service tonight, Puck shutters the restaurant, the second largest at the shopping center and the Venetian and Palazzo.

He tells Vegas Seven that the cost of renting out the space is the reason for the shutter.

When we started, it was very successful and everybody made their money. But the rent is so expensive, it’s basically $100,000 a month. So where we make money the first six months [of the year], then we lose it in the summer, or in the bad months in the fall.

Puck tells Seven that he thought about revamping the space if he could get a better lease agreement.

On the red carpet at the Vegas Uncork’d Grand Tasting on Friday night, Puck said he’s holding on to the option to turn the restaurant into something new. "We might do something different. We’ll see," he tells Eater Vegas.

For now, you can get one last brunch there and dinner there today.
