Avoid The Chaos of the Strip with Smokin' in Mesquite This Weekend

Get the heck out of Las Vegas this weekend and head to the CasaBlanca Resort Casino in Mesquite for the seventh annual Smokin’ in Mesquite BBQ Championship. On Saturday, May 2, and Sunday, May 3, more than 20 teams will vie for a $40,000 prize purse.

Guests can sample barbecue chicken, ribs, pork and brisket at this event sanctioned by the Kansas City Barbeque Society. Doors open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. with the People’s Choice and Championship BBQ winners wrapping up the event on Sunday. The event includes a beer garden as well.
