White Castle Cravers and 50 Food Trucks Barrel Into Vegas

The carnival of food trucks returns for the Great American Foodie Fest.

Don’t want to head to Casino Royale to feed your White Castle Craver cravings? Never fear. The newly renamed Great American Foodie Fest, formerly known as the Las Vegas Foodie Fest, returns from Thursday, April 30, through Sunday, May 3, this time heading to the Rio.

Aside from the White Castle Crave Mobile, the event features more than 50 food trucks such as FukuBurger and Dragon Grille locally as well as Jogasaki Sushi Burrito, Tornado Potato, Frach’s Fried Ice Cream and Great Food Truck Race season five winner The Middle Feast from California, Q UP Barbeque from Arizona, Lobster Lady from Maine and White Rabbit, which now has a permanent location on Jones Boulevard.

Live DJs, carnival rides, games, eating competitions and more entertain.

The festival plans to be open from 4 p.m. to midnight Thursday through Friday, noon to midnight on Saturday and noon to 10 p.m. on Sunday.

Tickets start at $8 per day, or $11 for an unlimited weekend pass in advance, and $10 per day, or $13 for an unlimited weekend pass at the gate. Active military personnel and veterans, seniors 59 and older, and Clark County first responders will receive a $2 discount. The VIP tent for $75 in advance and $85 at the door includes appetizers and desserts, an open bar, beer and wine tastings and chef demonstrations.
