Upscale cocktail lounges seem to be the new direction of nightlife that doesn’t involve big-name deejays and a line wrapped around the casino floor in Las Vegas. Alibi Cocktail Lounge opened in November with bottle service at Aria from The Light Group. Vice Versa Patio & Lounge debuted in March at Vdara. Now Vista Cocktail Lounge rom Hakkasan Group plans to debut in May in the former Shadow Bar at Caesars Palace.
Instead of girls dancing behind lighted screens, the schtick here will be “LED portals” that feature different skylines that change as you drink at the 35-foot bar. Hakkasan promises mixologists conjuring up your drinks as well. And guests can sup here from 5 p.m. on daily.
