All the construction now makes sense at the very down-at-heel Silver Spur Hotel. Twenty-seven "different rooms" are promised for the forthcoming Travelers Bed & Breakfast, set to take over the 12,362-square-foot building located within walking distance from the Stratosphere and the soon-to-arrive Pawn Plaza.
While early details about the makeover are scant, plans for the project's 2,682-square-foot Travelers Sidewalk Cafe are awaiting city approval and will at least be serving the breakfast included in your overnight stay.
The Silver Spur has been operating as a flop house in recent years, while the ground floor was home to the now shuttered Just John's Coffee, Atomic City Tattoo and the Korean King Se-Jong Chong Restaurant. Travelers Bed & Breakfast is promising a "coming soon" arrival later this year.
