While upstairs the Hakkasan Group is spending $4,153,000 to completely overhaul the Gold Boutique Nightclub & Lounge, downstairs at Aria they are about to drop $1,264,980 to update the Deuce Lounge. The estimated construction costs will remodel the former Light Group asset, snapped up by Hakkasan last year in their multimillion takeover of the nightlife company.
The 2,930-square-foot project will revamp the lounge interior and surrounding casino area. Current paperwork keeps the Deuce Lounge name. Aiming to offer a sophisticated high-limit gaming and meeting space, the Deuce had diminished its status in recent years with an endless supply of two-for-one drink coupons being distributed around the resort and an earned reputation for being attracting less than upscale male clientele.
With gaming tables and two TVs playing sports, the lounge currently serves from 5 p.m. until 4 a.m. daily. No changes post-remodel have been revealed, nor a closing date for the upgrades.
Last year Aria finished revamping their Lift Bar and almost $3 million was spent transforming the former City Bar into the 24-hour Alibi Cocktail Lounge.
