The surprising turnaround at the Boulevard Mall is becoming hard to miss and the property is readying for a series of phased upgrades to be completed by the end of the year.
Joining the already confirmed, under construction, massive 60,000-square-foot John's Incredible Pizza Co. will be the second local branch of Asian-American supermarket 99 Ranch Market. The Chinatown original will be dwarfed by the new location, clocking in at 34,509-square-feet and costing an estimated $1,875,000 to build. The grocery store 99 Ranch is renowned for its broad choice of international imported foods and extensive seafood selections.
While new dining options are still on the horizon, the first to be revealed is Olivia's Mexican Restaurant from Faviola Trujillo, the force behind two local outposts of Taco Y Taco Mexican Eatery. The 5,318-square-foot Olivia's space has allocated an estimated half a million dollars for their construction costs. The menu focus will be on Mexican and seafood dishes. Trujillo has also been rumored to be expanding the Taco Y Taco brand into the much loved, but shuttered Las Vegas Boulevard branch of Tacos El Gordo.
Both John's Incredible Pizza Co. and Olivia's are scheduled to debut by the end of the year. Original plans for the remodeled facade called for casual dining restaurants to anchor both sides of the main entrance, accented by "a cozy outside seating area for great people watching." The current non-food court dining dining options are Applebee's and IHOP located away from the main building in the parking lot.
