SNHD Shuts Down Mr Beijing After a Re-Inspection

Mr Beijing, the Chinese restaurant at 730 E. Flamingo Road, was shut down by the Southern Nevada Health District on Tuesday, May 19, after a re-inspection revealed 31 demerits.

SNHD originally inspected the restaurant on April 15 and issued 31 demerits. At the re-inspection, SNHD found food unprotected from potential contamination, food held at the wrong temperature, single use items re-used, grade cards unposted and more.

Mr Beijing demerits

This is the first time the restaurant has been shut down by SNHD since inspections started in 2011.

The Southern Nevada Health District routinely shuts down restaurants that receive more than 40 demerits. Restaurants have the option of requesting a re-inspection before the next scheduled inspection.
