Sin City is home to a lot of restaurants and bars, but there are tons of hidden gems that the majority of Las Vegans aren't unearthing. To help guide us to these potential discoveries, we've enlisted some of our city's food players to share their recommendations for a weekly feature dubbed Dining Confidential. Know a chef who wants to share some top dining spots? The tipline is open.

Open less than three months and already Dan Krohmer has a hit on his hands with Other Mama, the raw bar and libation spot on the west side. The former sous chef and sushi chef at the original Morimoto in Philadelphia went on tour with Taylor Swift, Metallica, Jay Z and the Warped tour to cook up dishes for the musicians. When he landed in Las Vegas, he headed to Sen of Japan and even worked as a sous chef at Japanese Cuisine by Omae. Does he ever get out of the kitchen? Sure, and when he does, he has three distinctly different restaurants that he frequents.

Which restaurants do you turn to when you’re not working?
The three restaurants I go to when I'm free are District One, Buddha Belly Deli and Bonnie Springs Ranch.

What dishes are most memorable?
I love the whole grilled squid at District One because it's simple and spicy.

I always get the chicken fried steak at Bonnie Springs when I need to get off the grid.

Why do you enjoy going there?
District One is great because it has a mix of traditional and modern Vietnamese food with consistent service.

Bonnie Springs is great because of the older wasted guys singing in the back while you sit by the fire.

Buddha Belly Deli is great for innovative sandwiches and a cupcake to go.
