THE LINQ — Guy Fieri’s Vegas Kitchen & Bar hosts a Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives viewing party on Friday, May 29, at 10 p.m. The new Food Network episode, “Griddles and Vittles” features the restaurant. Executive chef Tony Leitera emcees the viewing party with drinking games, food and drink specials and prize giveaways during commercial breaks. Specials include $1 Miller Lite drafts and a $30 Triple D Experience Meal featuring items as seen in the episode, including a 16-ounce bloody Mary, Guy’s Vegas fries and a Motley Que sandwich with pulled pork shoulder smothered in Guy’s bourbon brown sugar barbecue sauce, citrus slaw, pickle chips, aged cheddar, onion straws and donkey sauce on a toasted pretzel hoagie. DOWNTOWN SUMMERLIN — Wonderland Bakery holds three-day baking and decorating courses as part of their Culinary Camp series. Children will learn how to create baked goods using fondant, frosting, chocolate and more. Classes are recommended for ages five and up and parents are welcome to reserve a spot in the class as well. Classes include a Wonderland apron, T-shirt, daily snack and beverage in addition to a selection of take home treats. The first, Fun with Fondant, takes place June 16-18 from 1 to 3 p.m. Kids learn decorating techniques using fondant and frosting. The class includes one dozen cupcakes, a four-cupcake cake and a six-inch cake. The second class, Chocolate Lover’s Dream, takes place June 23-25 from 1 to 3 p.m. Kids will drip, drizzle and dip at this chocolate course and leave with one dozen chocolate lollipops, a lollipop tower, one dozen chocolate dipped strawberries and one dozen Oreo pops. The final, Crazy About Cupcakes, takes place July 14-16 from 1 to 3 p.m. Learn different ways to decorate the cupcakes. Everyone gets one dozen cupcakes, three pint-size cupcakes in a jar, one dozen cupcake brownies on a stick and six cupcake cookie decorating kits. Each three-day series is priced at $295 per person.
