Henderson, you’re about to get a taste of the Chipotle of pizza. Blaze Fast Fire’d Pizza opens its first location in Nevada today. Instead of rushing there today, go tomorrow, when the restaurant offers up free build-your-own pizzas during open hours for anyone who likes the restaurant’s Facebook, Twitter or Instagram page. Previously when the restaurant puts together this offer, they usually end up giving away 1,500 pizzas. Rest assured that more staff will be on hand to keep the lines moving.

Guests line up in an assembly line where they customize their pizza for less than $8. The 11-inch pizzas head to the open-flame oven to cook for 180 seconds at 800 degrees. Guests can order “signature” pies such as the Art Lover, made with "artichokes, mozzarella, ricotta, chopped garlic, red sauce dollops" or the Green Stripe built with "pesto drizzle over grilled chicken, roasted red peppers, chopped garlic." Also on the simple menu, salads and a single S'more pie dessert.

Each restaurant makes its own dough from scratch using a recipe developed by executive chef Bradford Kent (“The Pizza Whisperer”), which requires a 24-hour fermentation period to produce his light-as-air, crisp crust. Blaze Pizza offers gluten-free dough and vegan cheese. The Henderson restaurant will also feature a selection of wine and craft beer.

Fear not if you don’t live in Henderson. A second location is on the way at 6211 N. Decatur Blvd.
