Yet another California-based chain is taking its chances on a Nevada expansion. Thirty-year veteran Pizza Factory operates more than 110 locations in Washington, Idaho, Arizona and California and already has a strong footing in Carson City, Reno, Sparks and Ely.
The first store to expand to Las Vegas drops into an under-development retail center close to the Southern Highlands. Bucking the current trend of super hot, super fast, custom built pizza, Pizza Factory aims to dominate their neighborhood pizza scenes with hand-tossed pies, made with daily made in-house dough and "only 100-percent mozzarella."
With a coupon friendly marketing scheme, the menu includes sandwiches and subs, calzones, a kids' menu, an all-you-can-eat salad bar and a familiar appetizer selection of wings and "breadstix." The pizza menu include family-friendly selections such as the "Hawaiian," "BBQ Chicken" and the "Diamondback Special" created with "mozzarella cheese, pepperoni, ham, onions, bacon, mushrooms & green peppers."
