The Grand Bazaar Shops debuted in February, but already their anchor restaurant options are in trouble. During construction Eater Vegas was able to confirm Wahlburgers, Nacho Daddy, SkinnyFats and Starbucks had signed on as tenants inside the two-level section closest to the Bally's resort main entrance. Now, the Grand Bazaar is revealing only one, just one, of these four is "anticipated" to debut within the next six months and they need a food festival to help feed its customers.
Outside the first of three promised Las Vegas Wahlburgers restaurants, no signage offers even a glimmer of hope of an opening date for the vocal fans of the Wahlberg family and A&E reality TV show. The burger chain has taken to replying to persistent social media inquiries with the stock answer, "We haven't announced details on our Vegas opening yet. Please stay tuned."
Also still under construction are take-out choices Bronze Cafe, Ramen-Ya, Shawarma, Vegas Vertical Grill, Vegas Dogs and Sandwich Haven. To compensate, the Grand Bazaar will host a semi-permanent food festival on site to feed hungry visitors.
The Great American Foodie Fest will debut on Friday, May 8, and feature Jogasaki Sushi Burrito, Middle Feast, Nonna’s Kitchenette, Dragon Grille, White Rabbit, I Luv Cotton Candy and three more yet-to-be revealed vendors. All will be serving from temporary tents and limited seating can be found in the center promenade. No provision for air conditioning or cooling has been announced.
Opening times will be Sunday to Thursday from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m and Friday to Saturday from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. The festival is already seeking permission from Clark County to allow the event to remain open for the entire six months until the Grand Bazaar Shop's sole, yet to be announced, primary restaurant debuts.
