Al Mancini heads out to the dog-friendly Lazy Dog Restaurant & Bar at Downtown Summerlin to find that the restaurant "is unapologetically geared toward suburbanites who might not have the most adventuresome palates." He recommends the chicken sriracha sandwich, edamame with a togarashi spice mixture and a trio of hummus. He says the lemon-caper chicken pasta "is excellent, although describing the vegetables tossed in as ‘ratatouille’ is a stretch that seems aimed at fans of the animated film." [VS]

Jim Begley dines at Bradley Manchester’s new Glutton in Downtown Las Vegas with minor complaints about the dishes. He likes the wood-roasted shrimp but says, "I wanted more smoke in the otherwise fantastic dish." He calls the Glutton burger a "destination dish" but says the cheese has "a strange grittiness that seems almost artificial." He recommends the chicken liver mousse and Buffalo-style sweetbreads ("a gateway into the awfully tasty world of offal"). [LVW]
