The home of the original Buffalo wings now has a new walk-up counter at the Grand Canal Shoppes. Take a look inside Anchor Bar with its roots in Buffalo, N.Y. Order up those Buffalo wings first created by Teressa Bellisimo in 1964 when her son Domenic and friends wanted a late-night snack. Douse them in sauces from mild and medium to hot, spicy hot barbecue and suicidal. Vegas exclusive wing flavors include honey-ginger, salt and pepper, teriyaki sesame and extra mild. Also of note, a vanilla ice cream bar coated in puffed rice and marshmallow glaze then dipped in chocolate from Luciano Pellegrino. Anchor Bar also plans to serve carrot and celery sorbetto pops to cool the burn, as well as beer, wine and cocktails, including Brooklyn Brown Ale and Pyramid Hefeweizen on tap, and Genesee Cream Ale and PBR by the can.
