One Restaurant Shut Down; Two Come Within One Point of SNHD Closing

A kitchen at the Primm Valley Conference Center was shut down while two restaurants earn 40 demerits from SNHD.

A kitchen at the Primm Valley Conference Center at 31900 Las Vegas Blvd. S. was shut down by the Southern Nevada Health District with an imminent health hazard after a routine inspection on Wednesday, May 27.

Inspectors found gross unsanitary conditions including a pest infestation.

Long Jin Chinese Restaurant at 4825 S. Rainbow Blvd. came within one point of being shut down by SNHD after a routine inspection on Tuesday, May 26.

Inspectors found that the staff wasn’t properly washing their hands, food was unprotected from potential contamination, and the restaurant didn’t have pest control measures or accurate thermometers during the 40 demerit inspection.

SNHD shut down the restaurant in 2011.

Basil ‘N Lime Authentic Thai Cuisine at 3665 S. Fort Apache Road came within one point of being shut down by SNHD after a routine inspection on Thursday, May 28.

Basil ‘N Lime Authentic Thai Cuisine demerits

Inspectors found spoiled food, food unprotected from potential contamination, ineffective pest control measures, grade cards unposted and single-use items reused during the 40 demerit inspection.

The restaurant earned C grades in 2008, 2009 and 2014.

The Southern Nevada Health District routinely shuts down restaurants that receive more than 40 demerits. Restaurants have the option of requesting a re-inspection before the next scheduled inspection.
