Now Center Bar at the Hard Rock Hotel says goodbye during a final toast on Sunday night. Employees who had been with the bar since it opened in 1995 served 1995-themed cocktails including "Surfer on Acid," "Purple Hooter," "Scooby Snack," "Red Headed Slut" and "Cosmopolitan Shot" in honor of the year it opened. Guests signed the walls, floors and stairs and shared stories of meeting celebrities such as Guns N’ Roses’ frontman Axl Rose and guitarist DJ Ashba, how they met their husbands and wives there, how they learned life lessons there and so much more. Mötley Crüe’s lead singer Vince Neil also showed up to leave his own mark on the side of the bar.
Center Bar was known for its panoramic views of Hard Rock Hotel’s casino floor, a layout casino’s mimicked since it opened in 1995. Today marks the beginning of a $3.4 million renovation of the space.
