Some rock-star worthy dollars are being thrown into the middle of the Hard Rock Hotel for a surprise summer upgrade. The resort's raised Center Bar and surrounding casino pit are headed for an overhaul, bolstered an estimated construction budget of $3.4 million. The yet-to-be-revealed design will initially cover 3,197 square feet at the heart of the casino action.
Other changes to come include work on improving the resort's convention facilities, the imminent closing of their Love Jones boutique and commencement on work creating the second local Pizza Forte.
Created by the Ferraro family of Ferraro's Italian Restaurant & Wine Bar located just across the street from the hotel, the 1,460-square-foot quick-casual pizza restaurant will feature Roman-style pizzas by the slice as well as whole pies, Hofmann hot dogs, house-made meatballs and Italian sodas. The Hard Rock location will also offer beer and wine, hotel room delivery and on-premises seating.
The first Pizza Forte debuted inside Sunset Station's food court earlier this year. Originally scheduled to debut this spring, the Hard Rock location has yet to announce a revised opening date. It will become the second of 10 more promised locations within the next two years.
