Wondering when you’ll be able to try the 24-hour menu at Siegel’s 1941? The renovated restaurant taking over the former The Flame Steakhouse space at El Cortez was supposed to open on Monday, but delays in construction are putting it behind schedule. Now look for the restaurant with its dishes dedicated to Bugsy Siegel, sandwiches from across the country and of course liver and onions to open next week on Monday. That means Cafe Cortez, the restaurant that’s been teasing some of the new dishes on the Siegel’s 1941 menu, stays open until the new restaurant debuts.
