Your second Born & Raised, the bar with a UNLV feel, is on its way to Henderson and now new details emerged about the sports bar taking over the former Tommy Rocker’s Southside Grill.
Going into the Eastern Marketplace at St. Rose Parkway and Eastern Avenue, the bar plans to take over 4,158 square feet into the adjacent building and add a new outdoor patio. Inside, find 15 brand new gaming machines, 20 beers on draft, more than 30 televisions and a 16-TV wall with 160 retractable projector. BAR expects to serve the same menu as the original location at Cimarron Road and Warm Springs Road with different weekly specials to boot.
The remodel completely gutted the former space and plans to bring new design features “that haven’t ever been seen in the local tavern market.” A private party room uses a garage door for privacy.
Also of note, the first 100 who bring in their birth certificates get their name on a tile that hangs from a custom-made chandelier. Those lucky 100 also get a 15 percent off VIP card for life. Those who come in after the first 100 can still bring in a birth certificate to nab a 10 percent off VIP card.
BAR Henderson plans to open on June 29 with a grand opening with VIPs in August.
