We've enlisted comedians, some based here and others who spend their time on the road and come through Vegas, to share their recommendations on great places to dine in Sin City for a feature dubbed Comedian Confidential.
Comedian Graham Elwood and all about the high octane good times when he takes the stage. Whether he's talking about the 13 state medical marijuana tour with Doug Benson, entertaining the military in Afghanistan and Iraq or punishing mic stands with his karate skills as a second degree yellow belt, Elwood is a comedy storm. Elwood has been seen on such programs as The Late Late Show with Craig Kilborn and The Sarah Silverman Program. He performs Improv at Harrah’s through Saturday night. Here he shares some of his interesting observations about Las Vegas.
How often do you get to Las Vegas?
About two times a year.
Do you remember your first trip to Vegas?
Yes! I was in college at the University of Arizona and we came in town for a UNLV basketball game. Arizona lost but I won $12 playing slots, so the trip was a success.
Do you have any favorite restaurants you like to visit here?
Bacchanal Buffet at Caesars Palace.
Do people approach you while you're dining out?
Only if I'm eating naked.
What about nightlife? Do you ever go out after a show to unwind?
Yes, all the time. I like that bar that's a boat in Caesars Palace (Cleopatra’s Barge) and playing $5 craps at Casino Royale.
What was the first thing that shocked you in Las Vegas?
How easily it was to get married while drunk at 2 a.m.
What can we expect at your show?
I like to be silly and have fun.
