The major renovations are coming fast and furious to the Bellagio. Circo disappeared last year to make way for Lago, Julian Serrano’s new Italian restaurant, where you can practically touch the Fountains at Bellagio on the patio. Now the next major domino falls.
Jean-Georges Vongerichten, the French chef out of New York, plans to renovate his Tiffany box of a restaurant Prime Steakhouse this summer.
The stalwart, which has been open since the Bellagio debuted, will shutter the patio and the glass room behind the hostess stand starting Aug. 24 for a $1.1 million renovation. The 2,723-square-foot renovation will turn the space into a lounge, expected to open in mid-December.
Vongerichten also has Jean Georges Steakhouse at Aria, which opened in 2009.
