The new Hussong's Cantina, location No. 2 in Las Vegas, brings a dash of Baja California to Boca Park. Much like the first at Mandalay Place, the space features a hodgepodge of Baja and surfer fare decorating the walls. The centerpiece, the bar, where patrons can belly up from the original margarita, created by Hussong's Cantina in Ensenada in 1941.
An abbreviated menu features specialty tacos such as kung pow shrimp with garlic chili sauce, cabbage mix and agave roasted peanuts; achiote ribeye with guacamole, radish, pickled chile guero, onions and micro greens; grilled salmon with cucumber and roasted pepper mix, Sriracha aioli and micro greens; and seared pork belly with raddichio cabbage mix, maple bacon aioli and chicharones. Even vegetarians can order the shrooms taco with a beer battered Portobello, tahini yogurt sauce, kale, habanero rings and pamesean cheese. Or just order the tacos fixings served as a salad or rice bowl.
