Hours after confirming Farmer Boys were destined for the future retail center at the corner of Rainbow and Badura comes an inside tip that Texas institution Fuzzy's Taco Shop will be their new neighbor in Spring Valley.
Created in Fort Worth, Texas, in 2003 by father and son team Alan and Chuck Bush, Fuzzy's Taco Shop, operates casual restaurants serving beer, margaritas, "fuzzy drivers," plus their twist on Mexican street fare like burritos, nachos, quesadillas, breakfast dishes and their signature item, "baja style tacos" created with feta cheese, a combination frequently described as "addictive."
The franchise now operates in 10 states and has risen to 78 stores. This Spring Valley location will be the first of a series to hit Las Vegas, occupying approximately 4,000 square feet on the opposite side of the retail center, facing the 3,185-square-foot Farmer Boys burger and breakfast restaurant
The 23,400-square-foot project will eventually be home Yogurtland, Café Zupas and the first Las Vegas outpost for Los Angeles-based, build-your-own-pie franchise PizzaRev, part of a quickly growing local trend of purpose built retail hubs, anchored by out of state fast casual dining destinations with a brand-loyal customer base. The entire complex is aiming to be completed by year's end.
