The long shuttered El Patron Mexican Restaurant & Oyster Bar at the eastside's Sunrise City Plaza Shopping Center will soon host a popular new occupant.
La Mojarra Loca & Grill Bar will open their third local restaurant inside the substantial 8,137-square-foot space, bringing their large-portion dishes focused on sustainable seafood.
Debuting in 2006, La Mojarra Loca runs two local locations, in North Las Vegas and Sunrise, destinations they claim are "strategically located" for their Hispanic customer base. Their current menu featuring menudo, langostinos and Mariachi band accompaniment is expected to remain the same, but no opening date for the switerchoo has been announced. The space did recently pass a health district inspection that permits it to open.
