Sad that The Bunkhouse Saloon closed? Downtown Project’s Mark Rowland says he’s talking to a different company to take over the former concert venue to focus more on food and drink. Sorry, that means less music. [LVRJ]

Hogs & Heifers is closing its iconic bar in the Meatpacking District in New York City. Owner Michelle Dell says the rent is being hiked to $60,000 and that just doesn’t jive with her $3 Pabst Blue Ribbons. We can only hope that means that the bras hanging from the ceiling will be shipped to the Las Vegas outpost outside the Downtown Grand. [DNAI]
