Heading to the Fremont Street Experience? The Fremont now has The Filament Bar, "illuminated" and serving cocktails, craft beers and video gaming slotted into the dark wood counter top. The clubby space opens to the casino floor with mounted TV screens and shiny kegs on the shelves behind the bar.
The Filament's electricity inspired themed cocktails are priced between $8 and $10 and include "The Electric Chair Martini," warning imbibers to "strap yourself in and sentence yourself to a delightful and charming euphoria. Don’t worry, you’ll live to tell about it." The "Filament Mule" is designed with a "modern downtown kiss" and the "Cucumber Coil Mojito" is "gleaming and glowing. Even Mr. Edison would re-charge and re-vitalize with this clean, crisp, and benevolent debauchery" and contains "Bacardi Light, simple syrup, mint leaves, and club soda."
Opening hours for The Filament are Sunday to Thursday from 2 p.m to 2 a.m and Friday and Saturday from noon to 3 a.m.
