Seemingly on a mission to fill any fast food cravings of his future guests, Rick Harrison and the Gold and Silver Pawn Shop are adding pizza, coffee and doughnuts to the $2 million retail and dining project they've dubbed the Pawn Plaza.
Built with colorful custom shipping containers created by locals Xtreme Manufacturing, Pawn Pizza and Pawn Donut and Coffee will occupy two separate pods on the ground floor next to the forthcoming Rick’s Rollin Smoke BBQ. Above them will sit the TV show-themed Rollin Smoke Tavern, complete with a balcony over looking Las Vegas Boulevard and the namesake pawn shop.
Listed as company managers for the doughnut shop are 34th Floor Hospitality, owned by former Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas resort food and beverage directors Oliver Zardoni and Ralph Cautela. The hospitality group most recently consulted on the dining options at the Rock in Rio festival, held not far down the street from the plaza.
Also headed inside the containers, retailers So-Cal Speed Shop and Vegas Flip Flops, plus Rita's Italian Ice and the much anticipated arrival of Canada's Smoke’s Poutinerie being built on the ground floor next door to the new pizza venture.
Still missing from the plaza's fast food dining pyramid, tenants serving chicken wings, tacos and burgers. Without revealing a firm debut date, Rick Harrison announced in May the roll-out of tenants would gradually take place from the end of July through October and the plaza is "almost completely rented out."
UPDATE: 34th Floor Hospitality are now confirmed to be managing both ventures and the temporary name of Pawn Pizza will be replaced by the new moniker of Inna Gadda di Pizza.
