En Fuego Cigar Lounge to Light Up in Henderson

Grab a cup of joe and a premium smoke at a forthcoming sanctuary.

If two is a trend, then firing up stogies is back in fashion. Hot on the heels of new updates on the $1 million Davidoff Cigar Bar headed to the Fashion Show mall, comes word locals En Fuego Cigar Lounge is expanding to Henderson.

A more modest proposal than the high-profile plans for the Strip, En Fuego will fill the 1,500-square-foot former Jacobi's Couture boutique at the South Pointe Plaza. En Fuego debuted their first location on West Sahara Avenue in 1998, a few doors from the Golden Steer Steakhouse.

Their new venture is working through the City of Henderson permit process and promises a "sanctuary for adults who love cigars," in a "classy, professional fun environment." Bringing over TVs and similar comfortable chairs to their Sahara spot, it aims to be open Monday to Sunday from 9 a.m to 11 p.m. For the thirsty, coffee, water, juice and soda will be provided at "refreshment station," unlike the alcohol parings Davidoff is planning.

Last year Casa Fuente, the cigar lounge at the Forum Shops at Caesars successfully relaunched after a $350,000 makeover.
