Katsuya and Cleo switch hands. The two restaurants at SLS Las Vegas are being sold to The One Group, which owns STK at the Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas.
Sam Nazarian, who founded SLS Las Vegas parent company SBE, tells Page Six that the sale is part of his company’s “paring back to focus on ‘core brands’ after a recent reorganization.”
Nazarian’s Vegas outpost opened in the former Sahara resort last August, and since, the nightclub and hotel czar has stepped aside from SBE after telling the Nevada Gaming Commission in December that, yes, he had used cocaine. After a stint in rehab, he returned in April only to have three board members step down.
In happier news, Nazarian is now married to Emina Cunmulaj, the model who’s look was used to define Cleo.
Katsuya, the sushi restaurant designed by Philippe Starck, is one of eight locations worldwide while Mediterranean Cleo has four locations.
