Three Alarmingly Cheap Tasting Menus to Try NOW

SBE may be selling off Cleo and Katsuya to The One Group, but that’s not stopping SLS Las Vegas from offering an alarmingly cheap tasting menus through Sept. 3. And as a bonus, and perhaps most exciting, Bazaar Meat by José Andrés has its own cheap tasting menu. Here’s a look at all three.

At Bazaar Meat by José Andrés, nab a 10-dish tasting dinner for $65 per person with a $25 optional wine pairing. Land super-giant pork-skin chicharrón, Ferran Adrià olives, bagels and lox cone, croquetas de jamón, beef and parmesan grissini, Chateaubriand tenderloin, Robuchon potatoes, and grilled asparagus, with cream puffs and assorted tarts to finish. For an additional $25, guests can pair the menu with a variety of Spanish wines (1+1=3 Brut Cava, C.V.N.E. “Monopole” Viura, Emilio Moro Tempranillo, and Emilia Lustau “East India Solera” Sherry).

Katsuya by Starck has a three-course dinner for $39 per person. First choose from crispy Brussels sprouts, crispy rice with spicy tuna, crispy chicken salad, mushroom salad, spicy albacore sashimi with crispy onion (for an additional $6) or creamy rock shrimp (for an additional $5). Then for an entrée, guests can order seafood yakisoba, omakase sushi, salmon on cedar or N.Y. strip teriyaki (for an additional $7). Finally, dessert choices include warm bread pudding, warm chocolate cake or mochi ice cream.

Finally Cleo has a three-course dinner for $29 per person. Pick hummus with tahini, lebaneh with feta, shrimp kebab (for an additional $3) or chicken kebab (for an additional $3). The second course includes a choice of harira soup, chopped salad or Greek salad. The third course includes a choice of garlic shrimp, chicken tagine, seasonal mushroom flatbread, Roman flatbread, grilled hanger steak (for an additional $5) or roast lamb (for an additional $5).
