EASTSIDE — Ferraro’s Italian Restaurant & Wine Bar serves up its next Taste & Learn event on Saturday, Aug. 22, from 4 to 6 p.m. with Allegrini Winery. The event includes five wines and small bites from executive chef Mimmo Ferraro. Vermentino, a white wine, is paired with scallop carpaccio with celery root, green apple and caviar; Palazzo Della Torre, a red blend, is paired with Montasio cheese risotto with bitter honey and coffee powder; La Poja, a red wine, is paired with Calabrese style meat; and Amarone Classico, a rich red wine, is paired with pears and gorgonzola.
