While a Beer Garden is under construction at MGM Resorts' retail and dining promenade, The Park, Paris Las Vegas wants to get ahead of the trend and plans to debut Beer Park this fall.
The concept arrives from former Vintner Grill executive chef Matthew Silverman, who conveniently runs the 24-hour restaurant Hexx on the ground floor, while Beer Park is to be slotted in the rooftop section of the Chateau Nightclub & Gardens.
Food will be cooked outdoors on grills. Details of the exact size of the project, or if Chateau's entire upper floors will be taken over, have yet to be revealed, but up the stairs on the north side of Hexx, the club offers a potential 20,000-square-foot terrace, with the main attraction of views of the Bellagio Fountains. The Paris location is hyped as "the first of multiple locations."
Beer Park has offered no hints to the theme of its interior, but two recent attempts to import some genuine European style have been poured down the drain. German beer hall Rathuas was stripped of its fixtures and became the sports themed People's Republic before opening at the Hawaiian Marketplace and Bier Garten at downtown's Plaza Hotel & Casino has recently been renamed to the more downtown denizen friendly, Beer Garden. Chateau at one time hosted a beer garden of its own.
