The replacement for late night Fremont East fixtures Uncle Joe's Pizza and Kabob Korner is almost here. Scrubbing memories of an earlier downtown era, Flippin' Good Burgers and Shakes will debut on Saturday, Aug. 29, at 10.30 a.m., after an eight-month construction process.
Owners Andrew Donner of Resort Gaming Group and Keith Grossman of the Triple George Grill have built a 1,480-square-foot dining section, where guests order at the counter and then sit at one of the four booths, seven tables or at one of the seven seats facing the open kitchen prep station.
On the menu, burgers, sliders, chicken and turkey sandwiches and a selection of custard shakes and craft beers. The company's logo pushes a lofty promise to offer the "best burgers, fries and frozen custard in town."
