Rapidly expanding California franchise Dog Haus is taking their version of the "craft casual hot dog" off the Strip to the Paradise Esplanade, but with a steady eye on more Las Vegas locations.

The casual, quick service restaurant serves "gourmet hot dogs, sausages, & 100% Natural Angus Beef burgers, fresh-cut fries, made-to-order milkshakes, fountain & classic bottled sodas" and features grilled King's Hawaiian Rolls.

Describing themselves as opening a "Dog Haus Biergarten," the under construction 2,501-square-foot space takes over the shuttered Johnny Rockets retro diner next door to Kaizen Sushi and facing Ferraro's.

Already promised for the menu, The Fonz made with "hot Italian sausage, pastrami & melted mozzarella" and the Scott Baioli dog created with "smoked bacon, white American cheese, garlic aioli, caramelized onions."

Perfect for a location across the street from Hard Rock Hotel, another Dog Haus favorite is the Mötley Bleu 2.0 burger, built with "soy-racha onions, bleu sriracha sauce, white American cheese."

First opened in Pasadena, Calif., in June 2014, the rapid expansion of Dog Haus, including 100 planned locations across six states, has received assistance from franchisee Ron Ryan, a former vice president of operations with the Maggiano’s Little Italy chain found at the Fashion Show mall.
