It's a busy month of upgrades for Carlito's Burritos, who have shuttered their New Mexican restaurant on Patrick Lane ahead of a move into Henderson. Not content with one major upheaval, they are also simultaneously launching a second concept in the space right next door, bringing their twist on "Santa Maria BBQ" to Las Vegas.

Both tentatively set to debut in October, the Carlito's team will keep their popular menu at the new spot, while debuting Live Fire Q in the former Sammy’s Woodfired Pizza and Grill at Green Valley Town Center.

Rumored for weeks, but cryptically named, Live Fire Q will is now revealed to serve "Central Coast, CA style BBQ," cooked on an open wood pit. They'll be firing up "beef tri-tip, chicken, sausage, and more." A dining mainstay of the Santa Maria Valley in Santa Barbara County, traditional accompaniments include "pinquito beans, fresh salsa, tossed green salad, and grilled French bread dipped in sweet melted butter."
