Updating the Pizza, Donuts and Coffee at Pawn Plaza

Pawn Stars-themed donuts and New York-style pizza coming soon.

A little later than first imagined, Pawn Plaza is getting ready for a series of fall debuts. Rick Harrison and the Gold and Silver Pawn Shop's $2 million retail and dining project has updated details on two of its tenants and what to expect inside.

Joining Rita’s Water Ice, Canada's Smoke’s Poutinerie and the Pawn Stars TV show-themed Rick’s Rollin’ Smoke BBQ & Tavern will be Inna Gadda di Pizza and Pawn Donut & Coffee, as first revealed here back in July.

Both ventures have been created by 34th Floor Hospitality, including familiar locals Ralph Cautela and Olivier Zardoni. Cautela was a force behind "Secret Pizza" at Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas and this new concept will also be anchored by New York-style pies by the slice or the whole pizza. Free delivery to neighboring residents and businesses is part of the plan.

On the menu: a "white pie made with ricotta and fresh basil and a traditional red pie with house made meatballs," and Cautela has slotted in his personal favorite of sausage and green peppers. Also being served: salads and five-borough-style desserts like New York cheesecake and black and white cookies. Design hints show plenty of subway tile on the walls.

Over at the Pawn Donut & Coffee, more indulgence, with a menu of oversized donuts matched with Illy Coffee. The names and flavors will be inspired by locals and celebrities. Each item will have a backstory explaining its inspiration.

Like Rick's Tavern upstairs, the interior here will feature more design tributes to the Pawn Shop across the parking lot. Harrison has hinted at the possibility of spotting the TV stars: "Good coffee and donuts right next door?! Now I will know where to find The Old Man if he isn’t in his office!"
