Chris Herrin's long shuttered Bread & Butter space in Henderson is about to be revived by Jaret Blinn, a former executive pastry chef at Red Rock Resort.

CraftKitchen will launch as a neighborhood-focused cafe and bakery, committed to all things local and organic and featuring dishes ranging from "buttermilk fried chicken to our crust-less quiche of the day."

Set to debut in October, Blinn describes the space as "industrial and rustic, yet welcoming and warm." You’ll be surrounded by greenery and work by Las Vegas artists, including his daughter.

CraftKitchen is expected to be open daily from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. and the bakery will create loaves, custom cakes and mini desserts. Twists on comfort dishes from the kitchen will include short rib hash, pulled turkey benny, smashed avocado toast and coffee roasted by a Boulder City company.
