Don't like when your prix fixe meal is drawn out dish after dish? Prefer the opportunity to mix and match? Get an entire tasting menu served on one plate at Andre's Restaurant & Lounge at the Monte Carlo. The restaurant's five-course Chef's Tasting Plate debuts on Friday, Sept. 26.
Guests will taste five small versions of courses with this first for the restaurant from Andre Rochat. The tasting plate will be available every Tuesday through Sunday starting at 5:30 p.m.
The menu includes an "unscripted" selection of three hot or cold appetizers, one entrée and one dessert item. Executive chef Christopher Bulen will determine the specifics at his own whim.
"We want to have fun with this new offer. It's really what we feel like making you that day. You could order the Chef's Tasting Plate three days in a row and have a completely different experience every time," Bulen says in a press statement.
The Chef's Tasting Plate costs $50 per person and is available at the bar on the first floor or in the Cigar Lounge and Library with Rochat’s personal collection of cookbooks on the second floor.
