The Red Pot
Address: 1375 E. Tropicana Ave.
Phone: 702-750-0688
Status: Daily from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m for lunch and 5 p.m. to 11 p.m for dinner.
First revealed back in February, The Red Pot has finally deputed on Tropicana, inside a shuttered Macayo's Mexican Restaurant. The owners already operate the original Red Pot restaurant 268 miles away in Garden Grove, Calif., part of Orange County's Little Saigon district.
They've brought with them their all-you-can-eat seafood hot pot concept. Guests cook up a broth at their table with flavors like "spicy Mongolian herbal," miso, red curry or "Thai Tom Yum" and then self-cook a wide variety of meats, seafood and vegetables in the broth.
There are non spicy versions like premium seaweed and Chinese sauerkraut. Unlimited dipping sauces can be made with fermented tofu, satay and sesame and a pour-your-own Dole Whip soft serve station is also on tap.
Lunch is $22 per person and dinner costs $35, except for Saturday and Sunday when meals are priced at $35 all day.
