Pinches Tacos is this close to expanding from its local Container Park base to a very much upgraded, 3,500-square-foot flagship space at the Gramercy, creating the first location for the famed California Mexican restaurant to feature a full bar.
Local rumor has Pinches ready to debut the first week of October, with the offical word only confirming "VERY soon!!!" Social media also hints at a soft debut occurring as early as next week.
The Gramercy high-rise "urban village" still awaits chef Alex Stratta's Sliders and Slices and Alex Stratta Italian Steakhouse, plus the long-anticipated DW Market from Dalton Wilson and Bryce Krausman of DW Bistro, making Pinches Tacos the dining anchor for the neighborhood for the near future.
With patio seating reached through garage doors, the Pinches space will be highlighted inside by Dia de los Muertos art, pink and blue coloring, refurbished furniture and a full-size taco food truck built right inside the restaurant by d3 Design Studios. Recently posted photos of new signage is branded with the company's tag-line, "Real Mexican food by real Mexicans."
